About Us

On this date we opened our store as a fabric shop for children's clothing carrying mainly fabrics and patterns and threads for kids clothes as well as carrying our beloved BERNINA's. Barb has been the one and only owner since day one! (Picture: Barb in the store first day we were open)

As years went by our shop evolved into some quilting while keeping our roots of heirloom and children's clothing!  We started carrying quilting fabrics and supplies and we've had so much fun with our classes and meeting other quilters! Since we've evolved into quilting on top of everything we started with back in 2001 we've had to expand our store and designate a room just for fabric! (Picture: Right half of our fabric room)

Well, we outgrew the expansion of our store on Whitesburg so, on July 27th, 2023 we moved into our beautiful new spacious location! Today at Barb's you can find quilting fabrics, quilting patterns, notions, batting, precut fabrics, heirloom fabrics, heirloom laces, ribbons, garment patterns, BERNINA machines and accessories, as well as Horn cabinets, and many more things! Imagine building a legacy that can go on for generations to come! That's exactly what Barb has done! Today at Barb's what started as a family business remains a family business! While Barb still plays a big part of the store, she has passed down her legacy to the next generation.
